Carpet Cleaning – What Methods Do You Use?

Carpet cleaning is not as easy as you think. If you have never done it before, the process may seem overwhelming at first, but once you begin to learn what is involved in it, you will be amazed at how simple it really is.

But, if you already have a carpet, do you know what to do? There are many different techniques for cleaning your carpet. Here are some of the most common ones.

Dry Cleaning. This is one of the oldest methods of carpet cleaning. Most of the time, a clean carpet with dry cleaning cannot be completely dried. Dry cleaning stains with this method involves dragging the stained area of your carpet over a carpet cleaner that has an absorbent pad on it.

Blotting. This method uses a carpet cleaner and a paper towel to cover the carpet, blotting out all of the dirt on the towel. Most people do this by rolling up the towel and putting it on the cleaner; however, there are other ways to blow the dirt out as well.

Natural Soap. A variety of natural soaps can be used in carpet cleaning. These include Cayenne pepper, lemon juice, and mineral oil.

Steam cleaning. Steam cleaning is by far the most popular method of carpet cleaning. The method does involve drying the carpet, which is why it is also referred to as a “dry cleaning”.

Bleach Water Cleaner. The most popular method for cleaning carpets is called bleach water cleaner. The bleach is applied to the carpet using an absorbent pad.

Stain Stripping. This method is based on the theory that when chemicals are applied to a stain, the stain will soak into the chemicals and will then lift the stain out from the chemical.

Dry Blending. The method of applying a strong solution to the carpet and letting it sit is referred to as dry blending. It can be done in two ways: by using water and using a chemical cleaning agent such as bleach.

O-Rings. The method of applying a strong solvent like bleach to the carpet and cleaning the solution out of the carpet is called o-rings. The method can be done in two ways: either by using water or a chemical cleaner.

Vacuum Cleaning. This method is also referred to as vacuum floor cleaning.

As you can see, there are many different methods of carpet cleaning. Once you learn them, you will be able to get the best results from your carpet cleaning, or you could save yourself time and potentially money by working with qualified professional carpet cleaners Essex clients have been using for years to get the job done right with no fuss the first time around!
